This music industry is just choca block full of these youngsters pumping out the latest tunes on RadioOne! And the newest is Will Smiths' 10 year old daughter WILLOW SMITH. With her song 'Whip My Hair' she reached No.2 this week in the UK charts. For her age i think that's bloody incredible! Only 10 years old!
Personally i don't rate the song much :/ it's a little repetitive and annoying for me. But it is most defiantly a song that will keep ticking over in your head for hours after. You won't forget it!
But it's not only little WILLOW SMITH that's cracking the charts in the UK from over seas! JUSTIN BIEBER has caused quite a stir amongst the girls over in this pond! With a top selling album at only 17 we better watch this space! It's nice to see pop back into children's lives! When i was younger there were tones of pop bands and singers to look up to and sing into a hair brush along with! BRITANY SPEARS, S CLUB 7, STEPS, BUSTED, i could go on but i think i am already embarrassing myself.
Listening to the radio though i think that the English/British (whatever) talent is increasing and we have so many more singers/bands to be proud of! Check the charts out yourself! I know we are bombarded with the latest hit from the USA but i really believe we have so much to be proud of. There is an incredible amount of talented teenagers, children, women and men here in the UK. We just need to keep our ears and eyes peeled! We all love those reality shows X Factor and Britains' Got Talent but go out too! Check out a local bar for open mic night, who knows you might meet the next MATT CARDLE!
